Today Andrew Lloyd Webber announced on his weblog that he is hoping to compose a sequel to The Phantom of the Opera and therefor will postpone his musical adaptation of The Master and Margarita. "This does mean that I will have to let The Master and Margarita lie in peace for now. This is a project I love, but right now, it is hard to see it as a commercial musical and my dear and original directing muse, Stephen Pimlott, is no longer here to guide me toward other ideas. I need time to think, which is why I have decided to let the Master and his mistress rest for the time being", Webber said
