Shipments to the United States
Since early 2026, we have been experiencing significant problems shipping DVDs to the United States. There are no problems with shipping books..
DVDs
Since our DVDs are shipped from Belgium, they are subject to the strict trade restrictions issued by the United States government. Import duties are not the only factor at play here; stricter and usually unnecessary checks have also made shipping parcels extremely difficult. There are very long waiting times at customs, and parcels are frequently returned to the sender without justification or any apparent reason.
The European parcel carriers are troubled by this and have responded in two ways:
• some companies have significantly increased their rates – often shipping costs exceed the price of the DVDs
• other companies simply refuse to ship parcels to the United States anymore.
We are looking for a solution, but until one is available, we have closed the option to order DVDs from the United States.
Books
Delivering books poses no problems. Books destined for the United States are printed by printing companies in the United States and sent directly to customers from there. Therefore, these are domestic shipments that do not need to go through customs.
