It is amazing to see how many artists keep finding inspiration in the story of The Master and Margarita. Many of them are too young to remember the era and the context of the novel. Moreover, many of them have never lived or even been in a region that used to belong to the sphere of influence of the former Soviet Union, so they have never heard the stories of their parents or grandparents about this period.

It shows that the language of Bulgakov is universal, and that his message is picked up worldwide, even 74 years after his death.

Valentina Sciutti, for example, is a young Italian artist from Genova, who got a Bachelor degree at the Institute of Fine Arts in her hometown. For her dissertation she made a project for which she was inspired by The Master and Margarita, and which she published on her blog Artetetra in 2013.
