In May 2006, this website started as a modest initiative with some hundred pages, only in Dutch. Meanwhile, it evolved into a multimedia project of more than 12,000 pages in four languages. The texts in Dutch, English and French are written by your webmaster. For the Russian pages though, his knowledge is far too limited.

The Russian Department of the University of Mons

In 2012, Anne Delizée of the Russian Department of the Faculté de Traduction et d' Interpretation - Ecole d' Interpreters Internationaux (FTI-EII) of the University of Mons, Belgium, offered to cooperate with the Russian Department to the development of the Russian pages on this website. Since then, some students translate several pages of this website in Russian every year as part of their Ateliers de traduction. Every year, we look forward to their contribution, and every year, we are pleased that we can enrich this website with new pages in Russian.

Other translators

Before we could count on the help of the Russian Department of the University of Mons, we were extremely happy with the spontaneous contributions made by Alena Sirotina from Moscow, Russian Federation, and Nina Igochina from Leuven, Belgium.

Alena Sirotina
Moscow, Russian Federation

Of all those who ever offered their services to take care of the Russian version of this website, Alena wass the first who really started doing it and who really got through with it for a long time.

Nina Igochina
Leuven, Belgium

Nina was my Russian teacher in the second grade. In those days she gave me translation assignments, with marks as low as I deserved. Later she contributed to the Russian version of the website for a while, with the highest marks.
