In 2006 the Russian icon painter Leonid Kovtun, who is in general more inspired by the Renaissance or the New Testament, made a series of twelve nice aquarelles which he called Мастер и Маргарита. Иллюстации к роману М.Булгакова or The Master and Margarita. Illustrations of the novel by M. Bulgakov.
It's a series of twelve illustrations which he published on the internet.
