Elena Yeskova was born in 1961 in Kursk (Russia). In 1984 she graduated at the Facul-ty of Graphical Arts of the State Pedagogical Institute in Kursk. She worked for the publi-shing house Kursk en and is now heading the Slavonic artistic association Mertsana.

Since 1983 she has had exhibitions not only in her hometown Kursk, but also in the fa-mous Manège in Moscow and in Silgeborg (Denmark).

She made illustrations for various novels, a-mong which Alice in Wonderland and this series of 29 drawings for The Master and Margarita.
