Vera Makhan (°1975), born in Angarsk, plays the domra, a Russian music instrument similar to a mandoline. She became one of the most appreciated Russian domra musicians and plays with the most famous orchestras. She often plays duets, with piano player Elena Karetnikova or guitar player Dmitry Tatarkin. Her repetoire varies from traditional Russian folk music to arrangements of classical works - with a special interest in contemporary music, often in close co-operation with the composers.

Her version of The Master and Margarita which you can listen here is a one time performance from 2003.
