The Master and Margarita

The surreal atmosphere of a story about the devil in Moscow might suggest that many musicians from the supposedly more difficult genres of music would feel have their creative work inspired by The Master and Margarita.

But their number is much smaller than the number of classical composers, rock & roll bands or pop artists who gave, in one way or another, an interpretation of the story of the novel, or a part thereof.
