Artyom Samoylenko (°1989) was born in Donetsk, Ukraine, and is now living in Kyiv. In 2011, he got a bachelor degree in Ukrainian language and literature at the Donetsk National University. In 2015, he studied at the Vocal and Conducting Department of the Peter Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv.

As a composer and sound designer, Samoylenko writes music for films, TV-shows and video games. He also wrote the music for Anna Karenina, a performance which will have its premiere on August 1, 2018 at the Experimental Scene of the Milennium Theatre in Kyiv.

In 2012, he wrote the symphonic poem The Master and Margarita. It was written on a libretto of his spouse Gellada Samoylenko, and premiered at the Art Club Telegraph in Donetsk on October 21, 2012.
