Aleksandr Vygalov - Master i Margarita

Aleksandr Vygalov is a painter and graphical artist who lives and works in Ekaterinburg. He was born in 1959 in Sverdlovsk, where he studied at the Institute for Architecture.
He worked at the Sverdlovsk Film Studio as an assistent art director. He also made illustrations, brochures for CD’s, wooden sculptures, wall decorations, computer graphics and interiior designs.
His website is his permanent exhibition hall.
In 1982-1983 Vygalov made a series of 26 illustrations for The Master and Margarita. On his website he also presents the first three chapters of the novel which he adapted as a comic strip in 1993. I don't know if he ever made a full version of the novel.
