Until this morning I was convinced that there was only one Dutch translation of De Meester en Margarita: the unsurpassed text by Marko Fondse and Aai Prins.
Today, however, I accidentally came across an - expired - advertisement from the second-hand bookshop De Slegte offering a copy of The Master and Margarita «translated from the Russian by Marc Hendricks».
I contacted the only Marc Hendrickx who I know of who writes books, but he came out of the blue: he had not translated Bulgakov's masterpiece.
