Valentin Dubovskoy (°Saratov, 1967) is a Russian tenor and composer. After graduating from Moscow State University with specialization in mathematics he was giving his own course of lectures on economic com-puter sciences at the economic faculty of the same university for 2 years. He acquired a specialization in solo singing and composition at the Mos-cow State Conservatory.

His tours include 18 countries. With over 30 central opera parts in his re-pertoire he is the author of 9 operas and rock operas, over 300 songs and romances, some cantatas and rock cantatas.

Irina Arkadyeva is a graduate from the Moscow State Conservatory as an opera singer. She was a pupil of professor Karla Kadinskaya. She started her career at the Moscow Academic Musical Theatre named after Stani-slavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko.

On stage she has embodied characters of classical Russian, French and Italian operas. Her most significant works are Elvira in Ernani by G. Verdi, Madama Butterfly and Tosca in G. Puccini’s operas, Mimi in his La bohème, Liza in Queen of Spades by P.I. Tchaykovsky and Marguerite in Faust by C. Gounod. For Tosca’s interpretation she was awarded a medal by the International Opera Fund.

In 2003 and 2004 Valentin Dubovskoy wrote The Master and Margarita, an opera in one act, based on Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel. This opera has 6 pieces, which he recorded himself with Irina Arkadyeva as soprano.
